Space Perspective

This company may be the cheapest option available for you to go to Space. This travel takes place on the capsule specifically designed to be carried by a balloon.

Space Perspective is a startup developed in 2020 by Taber MacCallum and Jane Poynter. Their main idea is to send humans to the edge of space. Despite going to space on a rocket, Space Perspective plans to achieve this by sending humans on a balloon. They say that this journey might be gentle yet thrilling to look at Earth from a totally different perspective. This way of going into space will be more accessible and safer. They have set their timeline to start balloon trips from Late 2024.

Neptune One test vehicle

They have successfully tested their Neptune One test vehicle on June 18,2021. It flew on a specific planned route and splashed down on the Gulf of Mexico. From there it was bought ashore. Their main vehicle is Spaceship Neptune. Here's what you need to know about it.

Spaceship Neptune

It is a pressurized capsule capable of having about nine plush seats, eight space explorers and a Pilot. Some of the aspects of this Capsule are :

  • Panoramic 360-degree windows
  • Cabinet for Belongings and a Refreshment Bar
  • Below the main deck is a Lavatory
  • Wifi connection, and communication devices, which enable you to live stream the entire experience
  • Non Glare Windows for photos
  • Altitude, Wind and Temperature Sensors
  • Splashdown cone is placed to allow soft landing
  • Scientific experiments on the capsule's roof
How it works

How the balloon works

At first, you would be taken to a height of 100,000 feet by a balloon. At apogee (100000 feet) you'd stay there for about 2 hours
Then you will slowly descend and land on the sea. The splashdown will be smooth due to the cone at it's bottom

Where will you launch from

The balloon launch will happen from NASA's Kennedy Launch Center. Spaceship Neptune will launch from the same runway where the Space Shuttles used to land. In additions to this, they are planning to launch from locations all around the planet.

Where can I book my seat

You can book your seat at their official website here
They also said that you could rent out an entire trip for a milestone birthday event or a get-together family party

The Science

This mission provides scientists with a great advantage of carrying out their experiments repeatedly.
Scientists have already flown their experiments onto an uncrewed mission. That includes an ozone sensor instrument.

Conclusion

That said, the growth of Space Perspective will enable a large no of people to experience what it's like to be in space. Space Tourism will get a massive boost after their deployment. It is also one of the most affordable ways to gain this out of the world experience.
What price do you think is best suited for this kind of travel?
